Spicers have made the shortlist for the Boss Awards 2019 for the category of Publication of the Year with their publication ‘Spotlight’.
In 2018, Spicers’ marketing department identified a need to find a way to help their dealers introduce new and innovative products to their customers in a way that was relevant and interesting to the modern workplace. As a result, they conceptualized the innovative publication Spotlight to bridge this gap.
Spotlight is produced on a bi-annual basis and is a glossy, lifestyle type magazine that contains fresh and timely content. This content is the stepping stone to introducing those new and innovative products, but also allows higher margin, bigger ticket items to be bought to the forefront, to help increase sales and margin for dealers. Spicers wanted to help dealers to lift products from the catalogue, and highlight them to their customers in a way that moved conversations away from price, and into a consultative sales process.
Spicers launched Spotlight in January 2019, with the first edition of this 52 page glossy magazine, and digi-mag. Each edition is themed with topical content, which is likely to be influencing their workplace over the coming months. It serves useful articles that add value to the modern business community, whilst serving as a valuable sales tool to dealers.
The BOSS Awards will take place on 28 November at the Tower Guoman Hotel in London.
