Spicers are first choice!

Family owned business Choice Stationery Supplies, this week signed a new 5 year contract with office supplies wholesaler Spicers.

Having moved to Spicers in October 2014, Choice has seen an impressive 43% growth in their business, a result they attribute to joining a partner who truly understands their business.

The newly formed partnership is built on a mutual commitment around offering great value service for customers. Paul Andrews, founder of Choice, has been impressed with the service and flexibility the wholesaler provides and commented on the new deal “Moving to Spicers felt like the right decision for us as it was refreshing to work with a business that truly listened to what we wanted and took the time to understand our needs and where we wanted to go. Spicers aren’t afraid to take risks and move away from the rule book when required to get results that work for both of us. Spicers Account Director, Steve Morley expanded on this: “Choice presented us with an unmistakably great opportunity. To meet their requirements it was necessary to lightly flex our model, but with a local distribution model this was achievable. Together with our inventory, logistics and head office support teams we created a model that could facilitate and sustain Choice in their growth plans. Spicers moved the account from where they were previously held at Greenwich RDC to Bristol to better facilitate the needs of the business, providing them with a more personalised level of customer service, a move which Andrews says has benefited them greatly. For 2016 Choice are on target for the year to continue their impressive growth, making them the South West’s fastest growing dealer.

The new agreement was signed on 24th August following a tour of the Bristol depot, where Paul Andrews and Choice General Manager, Luke Tanner joined Spicers’ Operations Manager Perry Long and Customer Liaison Managers Jackie Cole and Gary Harman who look after the Choice account.

Formed by Paul Andrews himself back in 1998, Choice Stationery has grown from a small start up business trading from a shed in Andrews’ own back garden to a successful organisation operating from a bespoke distribution facility in Taunton. The company may have grown impressively over the years but their commitment to providing quality products with a first class service remains. With such strong values, Choice had previously been wary of committing to one provider but are confident that this is a partnership they can trust in.
